A&W Presents a pop culture convention part Disneyland, part collectable pickers show, part cosplay event, part artist/designer forum and part 'OMG, I LOVED that when I was a kid'... convention!

Vernon Comic Con began in 2018 and it has been a wonderful gathering of like minded friends, who arrive in Vernon from all over!

As you know, The Vernon Comic Con will is always on the first Saturday in May, which celebrates Free Comic Day (which will be offered as supplies last, thanks to Ebenezer's)!

We are taking over the rec centre and the Priest Valley arena, allowing for more vendors, a main stage, gaming tournament, card trading area, and more. The price to enter is only $10 per person (children under 12 yrs old are free... thanks to TOURISM VERNON)!

​

Now into more buildings allows us to have more entrances, thus less lineups and easier access. 

​

Now with Easier ADMISSION:

- The curling rink entrance will only accept DEBIT/CREDIT at the door.

- The rec center (last year's entrance) will be CASH ONLY.

We are extremely excited to welcome James Llyod, a cartoonist best known as the regular artist for the Futurama Comics title. He has provided pencils for the best-selling Simpsons/Futurama Crossover series. Follow our socials for further details.

There will be food trucks outside the main entrance for those who would like to grab a bite before they come in.

The 501st Legion will be in attendance for photos for all Star Wars fans. All of the photo donations go to NOYFSS.

​

We also welcome Empire Movie Memorabilia with their massive Stargate display (photo op) plus numerous cosplayers such as Sophia Johns, as Doc Ock.

​

The Dogwood Gym (inside the main rec centre), will host a few vendors and many tables, as we run a few TCG Tournaments in there.

We will have a main stage in one of our rooms, for cosplay action, guests and much more. Stay tuned by following our EVENT PAGE, which will offer details as they are scheduled.

The VCC is much, much more than comics. Come join the fun, meet some wonderful collectors, artists, play games, search through a plethora of long boxes for that special comic, find unique collectables, buy/sell/trade cards, view stunning props, costumes, cards, video and board games, take in photo ops, find vintage items and much more. From private collectors and artists to retail outlets bringing out their special items that are hardly seen with many deals. For those that have never been to a collectable show or con, this event has something for everyone and it’s much more than you think. This convention was created for the entire family!

Many get into the spirit and dress up as their favourite characters. We had entire families becoming Superheroes! You have time to start designing your Black Panther, Darth Vader, Harley Quinn, Kitana, Pokemon, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Okami Amaterasu or Trekkie costumes now lol! We look forward to seeing you in our new location. It’s a fun filled day for all of us like minded fans!!
